Amy Bartlett

Amy Bartlett manages and operates Amy Bartlett Artist, Conservation and Curatorial Services in addition to other arts employment. She works with staff, contractors, and volunteers on projects including research, conservation/preservation, curatorial practice, collection management, developing exhibitions, running events, project and budget management, and facilitating public programs.

My Story

Amy Bartlett has twenty-five years experience working in various arts roles. Workplaces include Arts Queensland, Museums Victoria, National Gallery of Victoria, National Archives of Australia, Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Museum of Old and New Art, ROOKE, dAda mUse and the National Communications Museum. She is currently part of the arts funding peer assessor pool for Creative Australia. Amy also operates and manages a private arts business. Projects completed include arts displays, conservation treatments, preservation needs assessments, insurance needs assessments, strategy reports, and workshops.

 

Contributing to the community is important to Amy so she carries out volunteer work to support the local arts.  

 

She is a Professional Member of the Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Materials. During membership, Amy has performed voluntary roles including National Secretary for the National Executive and Council, Assessor for the AICCM Awards, President and Treasurer for the Tasmanian Division, and Co-convenor of PHOTON Photographic Materials Special Interest Group. Amy also holds membership with the National Association for the Visual Arts and the Australian Museums and Gallery Association.

 

Amy received an Australia Day Medallion in 2010 for providing a significant contribution to the nation by carrying out work conducted on behalf of the National Archives of Australia and the Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Materials to assist those affected by the 2009 Victorian bushfires to preserve their keepsakes.
