Public Programs

Amy Bartlett develops and implements engaging public programs including large and smaller scale activities for participants and the community. She also has experience working with committee groups to organise conferences and events.

During her employment at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Amy project managed the largest community public program that the institution has held to date. From 2018 to 2019 members of the public were asked to donate materials to be made for an organisation wide yarn bombing project called Yarn Bombing for Marjorie to coincide with the 2019 exhibition, Marjorie Bligh: Domestic Goddess. Program participants met monthly to crochet, knit, and sew panels that were exhibited around the museum site. Following the exhibition, the panels were deconstructed by participants, washed and made into blankets, and donated to numerous charities.
